Cookies on hypedigital.ie
We keep this short because the policy is short.
What we use
One tool: Google Analytics 4. It tells us which pages are read and where visitors come from. That's it. We do not run ad trackers, build profiles, or share data with third parties for marketing.
What cookies get set
If you click Accept, Google Analytics drops two cookies in your browser:
_ga— a random visitor identifier so we can tell a new session from a returning one. Expires after two years._ga_FT9LPT3CB9— session state for our specific property. Expires after two years.
We also store one small key, hype_consent_v1, in your browser's local storage so this banner doesn't come back on every page. That's not a cookie and not shared with anyone.
If you click Reject
No cookies get set. No analytics load. No pings to Google. Nothing. We remember you declined so we don't ask again this session.
Change your mind
Open the banner any time: Cookie settings. You can also clear cookies in your browser and the banner will show again on your next visit.
What Google Analytics does with the data
Aggregated website usage (pages, time on site, country, approximate city) is reported back to us inside Google Analytics. We have IP anonymisation enabled, so Google truncates visitor IPs before storage. We retain this data at the default 2-month setting unless we tell Google otherwise.
Google's own privacy policy covers what they do with the data on their side: policies.google.com/privacy.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us what we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted. Because GA4 doesn't collect anything that identifies you personally (no name, no email, no login), there's rarely anything to request — but if you want to confirm, email hello@hypedigital.ie.
