PR and brand positioning for Cork and Irish brands
PR, brand positioning and launch comms for Cork and Irish brands. Press, partnerships and announcement work, built with film and social behind it.
Traditional PR in Cork tends to arrive late and travel light. A press release, a few phone calls, a hope that someone picks it up. If it does not, there is nothing underneath to catch the attention it almost earned.
HYPE runs PR and brand positioning as the launch front-end of a full content system. The press plan, the brand film, the social campaign and the paid ads are briefed together, so attention earned on day one lands somewhere a buyer can actually convert.
Who it's for
- Launches and reopenings: a new venue, a new collection, a new scheme, a comeback.
- Brand pivots: businesses that need to reintroduce themselves after a change in direction, ownership or positioning.
- Challenger brands up against bigger budgets who need a position that gives press and buyers a reason to pay attention.
- Property developers who need the launch campaign to land in the property pages as well as on the feed.
What's included
- Positioning work up front: the one-line, the audiences, the proof points, the places the brand needs to show up.
- A press plan with the outlets, journalists, timing and story angles agreed before the first pitch.
- Pitching and placement work to Irish lifestyle, business, hospitality and property press.
- Partnership and influencer coordination where it genuinely moves the launch, not as filler.
- Launch content coordinated with the brand film and social campaign, so the whole launch sings in one voice.
- Measurement: coverage, reach, sentiment and the hard business numbers where they are available.
How it works
- Positioning session. We agree the brand's one-line, the audiences and the single thing worth earning attention for.
- Press plan. Outlets, angles, timing. Approved before the first phone call.
- Launch window. Pitching, placements, partnership activations, coordinated with the film and social campaign.
- Post-launch report. Coverage, reach, bookings, follow-up actions.

PR agency FAQ
What does HYPE do that a traditional PR agency doesn't?
Film and social under the same roof. Most press pitches land better when they come with a two-minute brand film, a social campaign and a creative direction behind them. HYPE builds the asset library at the same time as the press plan, so the launch does not fall flat on day one.
What kinds of PR do you run?
Launches, reopenings, brand pivots and positioning work. Press pitches to Irish lifestyle, business, hospitality and property press. Partnerships, event comms and announcement coordination. Not political or crisis PR.
Can you promise coverage?
No one honest will. We can tell you which outlets we have working relationships with, what we think will land, and what we are confident we can secure. The rest is editorial judgement, and anyone promising guaranteed placements is selling you something they cannot deliver.
How is it priced?
PR engagements are quoted to scope, from €3,300 + VAT. Pricing depends on launch complexity, the number of audiences and whether a campaign-level creative package goes alongside the press plan.
Do you work with businesses outside Cork?
Yes, across Ireland. Most of our hospitality and launch work is in Cork, but we run Dublin, Galway and national campaigns as well. Travel outside County Cork is charged separately.
Can PR run alongside social media management?
Yes, and it works better that way. The best launches use PR to earn attention, social media to hold it, and paid ads to scale what is already working. HYPE runs all three.
